The first shipment of vaccines arrived at the Durham County Department of Public Health on December 21, 2020, and distribution will continue through 2021. Vaccines are safe and available for free!! We offer vaccination appointments or walk-in vaccinations, no appointment needed. Click here for more information about getting your shot. How can I be vaccinated?
All people age 6 months and older are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine! To be vaccinated, visit us for a walk-in vaccination any time Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:00AM-4:00PM, closed Tuesdays & Thursdays, and closed 11:30AM-1:00PM daily. Click here for more information.

How were the vaccines developed?
Although the vaccines were developed quickly, they were built upon years of work in developing vaccines for similar viruses. Development time was cut without cutting corners. Vaccines are highly effective in preventing COVID-19 with no safety concerns.
